Connecting the desire to change with the Power to change.

There is hope for addiction!

why we are here

is this you?

Have you tried other programs and found them unfulfilling?

Are you looking for something more than just striving to be sober?

Do you wonder if you will ever find relief from the obsession for substances?

Do you want to stop but no matter how hard you try you just aren't strong enough?

Can you imagine being able to function without substances?

Are your relationships damaged because of your addiction?

Do you justify your use because you are prescribed narcotics by a doctor?

Do you think you need drugs/alcohol to feel happy or even survive the day?

Are you ready to begin your new life and allow people into the messiness?

Are you ready for true freedom and lasting change?

Our purpose is to walk alongside, equip and care for those who struggle with addiction. There is hope, and lasting change is possible. Hope for Addiction is committed to helping people overcome addictions through the transforming power of grace. We believe that men and women can be transformed and experience freedom from addictions as they interact with the Savior and become invested in the local church for ongoing discipleship, biblical teaching and community. People are lost in the hopelessness of their addiction but through Christ’s work on the cross there is freedom. We have the unique privilege to serve people who have been conditioned by our culture to think that they are “sick” with a disease and have been told that no one understands their problem. The scriptures clearly present Christ and Him crucified as the solution for anyone ensnared by sin, including addicts.

why we are

different

Gospel Centered

Hope for Addiction offers a gospel-centered approach to addictions. Our program is not based on “steps” or “checklists” but solely on the practical application of God’s Word, lived out daily (2 Peter 1:3).

equipping churches

As part of our mission, God has called us to help equip the local church to walk alongside and care for people with addictions. Hope for Addiction offers training, lessons and support for partner churches so they can effectively serve their community.

Community

Integration into the local church, living in community and walking life together within a local body of believers is crucial for those rebuilding their lives free from addiction.

Our values

What we believe

  • The power of Christ has given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3).
  • In Christ we have a new identity, we are no longer identified by our addiction or our sin (2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • Our life is about growing in our knowledge of God, not about pursuing sobriety. Sobriety will be an outcome of obedience to Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit at work within us (Colossians 1:9-10, Galatians 5:16).
  • We live in Christian community so we may be built up, encouraged in our faith and grow in our knowledge of God (Colossians 2:7, Hebrews 10:24-25, Galatians 6:1).
  • All Christians, even recovering addicts, need to be meaningfully involved in a local church (Ephesians 4).
  • The good news of the gospel is, not only can we be saved by Christ, but that we are being renewed into the image of Christ, making the gospel central for all of life.
  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three equally divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that God created human beings, male and female, in his own image. Men and women are made equally in God’s image and both have equal access to God by faith in Christ Jesus. God ordains distinctive roles that reflect the loving relationship between Christ and the church.
  • Inspiration, education, information
